2025 - Podsumowanie

O proszę! Pamiętam, że ledwo przysiadałem do podsumowania 2024, a tu już podobną rzecz trzeba uczynić z 2025. Nie zamierzam jednak owijać w bawełnę, w tym roku znacznie mniej uważnie śledziłem premiery, a recenzowaniem nowinek zajmowałem się sporadycznie. Spośród płyt oczekujących na opisanie lub przesłuchanych bez większego kontekstu, trafiło ich na moją kolejkę trochę więcej, ale czym dokładnie to było dowiecie się za moment.

W 2025 roku zrecenzowałem na "Trochę Subiektywizmu..." 76 płyt. To o ponad 10 wpisów mniej niż poprzednim razem, ale w końcu liczy się jakość a nie ilość, czyż nie? W każdym razie, udało się opisać w całości tasiemcowe serie o Voivod i Napalm Death, co było ciekawym wyzwaniem zrecenzowania ponad piętnastu płyt (prawie) jednym ciągiem. Świetnie, że udało się z tym zmieścić w jednym roku - czasem bywa to przecież problematyczne, wszak czasu ciągle mało. Poza tym, nie zabrakło również krótszych cykli m.in. o Sentenced, Infernal War, Martyr i Massacra. Kolejną, fajną informacją jest, że na blogu pojawiło się 187 nowych komentarzy (nie licząc moich odpowiedzi), za co serdecznie Wam dziękuję.

W tym roku topki stworzyć mi się nie udało, no bo cóż, żadna płyta mnie nie zmiotła z planszy i nie czułem potrzeby ich bardzo szczegółowej analizy - być może powinienem niektórym krążkom poświęcić jeszcze więcej uwagi, a być może niektóre z nich wciąż potrzebują odpowiednio się okrzepnąć. Na pewno na plus wyróżniłbym nowe albumy: Floating, Cryptopsy, Fallujah, Testament, Diabolizer, Coroner (recenzja wkrótce), Malefic Throne, Pandemic Outbreak, Vacuous, Rivers Of Nihil, Drawn And Quartered, Christ Agony, Behemoth, VoidCeremony, Imperial Triumphant, !T.O.O.H.!, Messa, Varnheim, Phrenelith oraz Deafheaven.

Rozczarowań nie odnotowałem jakichś znaczących. Mniej mi podeszły nowe albumy Benediction, Obscura, Sadist, Dark Angel, Katatonia, Hate, Gruesome, Unleashed, Teitanblood, Ancient Death, Amorphis, Pissgrave, Dormant Ordeal, Paradise Lost i Morbific, ale nie są to jakieś tragiczne płyty (może poza Dark Angel). Ot, mniej trafiły one w mój gust albo był to dla nich gorszy czas, gdy gościły w moich słuchawkach - z biegiem następnych lat opinia może ulec zmianie.

Na 2026 nie mam jakichś konkretnych planów, wszystko pewnie będzie toczyć się tak jak dotychczas, w swoim tempie i konsekwentnie wokół ekstremalnej muzyki. Zdradzić jednak mogę, że pojawiają się też dłuższe serie, w których zagoszczą np. Vader, Paradise Lost, Sodom, Asphyx i Deicide. A kolejność... to wyjdzie w praniu ;)

Tymczasem, odpalajcie szampana i do zobaczyska w 2026 roku.

There you go! I remember barely getting around to summarizing 2024, and now I have to do the same for 2025. I wouldn't like to mince matters, though I've been following new releases much less closely this year, and reviewing it has been sporadic. Of the albums waiting to be reviewed or listened to without much context, a few more have found their way into my queue, but you'll find out what exactly they were later.

In 2025, I reviewed 76 albums for "A Bit Of Subjectivity..." blog. That's over 10 entries less than last time, but after all, it's quality over quantity that counts, right? Anyway, I managed to review the entirety of the massive Voivod and Napalm Death series, which was an interesting challenge to review over fifteen albums (almost) in one setting. It's great that I managed to fit it all into one year - sometimes that can be a hard challenge, after all, time is always short. Besides that, there were also shorter series like Sentenced, Infernal War, Martyr or Massacra. Another great news is that the blog has 187 new comments (not including my replies), for which I sincerely thank you.

I didn't manage to create a top list this year, because, well, no album blew me away, and I didn't feel the need to analyze them in a every detail - perhaps I should have paid more attention to some albums, or perhaps some still need to settle in. I'd definitely highlight the new albums: Floating, Cryptopsy, Fallujah, Testament, Diabolizer, Coroner (review coming soon), Malefic Throne, Pandemic Outbreak, Vacuous, Rivers of Nihil, Drawn and Quartered, Christ Agony, Behemoth, VoidCeremony, Imperial Triumphant, !T.O.O.H.!, Messa, Varnheim, Phrenelith and Deafheaven.

I didn't experience any significant disappointments. I was less impressed with the new albums by Benediction, Obscura, Sadist, Dark Angel, Katatonia, Hate, Gruesome, Unleashed, Teitanblood, Ancient Death, Amorphis, Pissgrave, Dormant Ordeal, Paradise Lost and Morbific, but they're not terrible albums (except perhaps Dark Angel). They simply weren't to my taste, or they didn't have the best time listening to them - my opinion may change over the years.

I don't have any specific plans for 2026; everything will probably continue as before, at its own pace and consistently centered around extreme music. However, I can reveal that longer series are also coming, featuring artists like Vader, Paradise Lost, Sodom, Asphyx and Deicide. As for the order... it will comes up ;)
